hp dv6700 sound I just noticed it doesn’t look like you ever installed the chipset drivers in the first place! During installation drivers from hp site to my model shows message that device is hp dv6700 sound found for this driver.
I reinstalled chipset driver several times, rv6700 the same result- no audio. I’m resigned to the knowledge that this is a hardware problem at this point.
